What does a website cost?
The short answer: with me, a simple website starts at around 3,500 DKK, and you pay for it once.
The long answer depends on what the website needs to do and who builds it.
Three ways to get a website
Build it yourself
With a website builder you pay a monthly subscription and spend your own time making the site.
A web agency
Look around in Denmark and you'll find starting prices from about 3,000 to 10,000 DKK for a simple website. Some charge a fixed monthly fee instead.
A freelancer
Someone like me. You talk directly to the person building the site, and you get the price before any work starts.
What makes it cost more
More pages
One page with the essentials costs less than ten pages, one for each service.
Features
Online booking, a web shop, logins or a form that passes information on take more work than a page of text and photos.
More languages
Each language version has to be translated, built and tested.
Text and photos
If I write the text or find the photos, it takes longer than if you have them ready.
Systems behind the site
Booking, email or payments: the more things the website has to talk to, the more there is to set up and test.
One-off price or monthly payments?
Some sell the website as a subscription with no lock-in. You pay every month for as long as you have it. It's an easy way to start, but over a few years it can add up, and with some providers the website doesn't come with you when you leave.
With me, you pay for the website once. Hosting and help afterwards are optional.
What does it cost afterwards?
On top of the website itself, you pay for the domain, which is the address (for example yoursalon.dk), and for hosting, the server the website runs on.
The domain should be in your own name, so you can always take it with you. I can take care of hosting if you want.
Questions about price

With me, you only pay for the website itself once. The running costs are the domain, which you pay for once a year, and hosting if I look after it. You'll know those up front.
Often because they're built from a template or in a website builder where you do the content yourself. That can be plenty. If it needs to stand out or do more, it takes more work.
Yes. You get the price before I start.
