Website for restaurants

Guests want to see the menu, when you're open and how to book a table. It has to be easy to find, even on a phone on the way out the door.

I build websites for restaurants and cafés that show what the place feels like and make it easy to come by.

What a restaurant website needs

  • The menu as real text

A PDF menu means zooming in on a phone. As plain text, the menu is easy to read and easy to update.

  • Table booking

If you already use a table booking system, I connect it. If not, we'll find something that fits how many guests you take.

  • Opening hours and directions

Opening hours, address and a map, so guests can find you. If your hours change, just write to me.

  • Photos that show the place

Your own photos of the food and the room, so guests know what to expect.

  • More than one language, if you want

If you get a lot of tourists, the menu and the rest of the site can be in both Danish and English.

What it can look like

Ildsted is a demo of a Nordic bistro with a menu and table booking. The restaurant doesn't exist, but the website shows what I can build.

How we get started

From the first message until your website is live, it goes like this.

  1. We talk

You tell me what you want to achieve. More customers? More bookings? A site people can find? I ask questions, and then we agree on what the website needs to do.

  2. I build, and you follow along

You can follow along as the website takes shape and tell me if something should be different. I adjust along the way so it suits your business.

  3. It goes live

Before it goes live I test it on computer, tablet and phone. Then I launch it, and I'm still around afterwards if anything needs fixing.

Questions from restaurants

Yes. If you already have a system, I connect it. If not, we'll find a solution together.

A PDF is awkward to read on a phone. As plain text, the menu is quick to read and easy to update when the dishes change.

Yes. I can build it in several languages, so tourists can read the menu too. It costs a bit more.

Yes, and for bakeries, takeaways and other places to eat. Most of this page applies to them too.

What does it cost?

From around 3,500 DKK

A restaurant website with the menu, opening hours and a contact form starts at around 3,500 DKK.

Table booking and extra languages cost more. You get the full price before I start.

Write a note

Tell me briefly what you need and I'll get back to you.

So I can write back to you.
If you'd rather get a text than an email.

What you write is sent to my email and I only use it to reply to you. I remember your IP address for a day at most, to stop spam. The site has no tracking, and its only cookie remembers which language you pick.
