Who is behind the sign?

I'm Anthon and I live in Næstved, Denmark. I've worked as a developer for ten years, on everything from small internal tools to sites with millions of visitors.

I handle all of it myself, from the first sketch to the server it runs on. That way you always know who to talk to.

I'm not the salesperson type. I'm a bit awkward, and in 2023 I found out that it has a name: I'm autistic (Asperger's). It means I say things straight and care a lot about the details. I'd rather build something properly than say something clever.

  1. Where I'm from

I'm originally from Esbjerg, but in fourth grade I moved to Kyse, a small town outside Næstved. I've lived in and around Næstved ever since.

  2. First code

At 11 or 12 I wrote small programs for fun and started making my own very simple 2D games in GameMaker. Then I found cyber security and spent years learning to hack and to keep hackers out. I also played around in Photoshop and After Effects and made home videos of my siblings and me having lightsaber fights and throwing lightning around the backyard.

  3. Ten years as a developer

I started my computer-science degree (datamatiker) in 2016 and got my first job as a developer while I was studying. I did my internship in Egypt, building websites remotely. I'm also active in open source. The project I'm proudest of is a homemade dashboard card for Home Assistant that thousands of people still use. Another one, more fun than useful, is a Windows simulator that runs in the browser. I wrote both myself, long before you could get an AI to do it.

  4. Cyber security

I've worked in cyber security for the Danish Ministry of Defence. It was mostly defence: securing important systems so nobody can break into them.

  5. Operations and devops

For about four years I've set up and looked after servers, from small internal web apps to sites with millions of visitors at once. At home I run my own homelab with local AI, Jellyfin and Home Assistant, among other things.

  6. On the side

In 2020 I bought my first house, an older brick house, and spent the next year of my spare time ripping out the interior and renovating it myself, with help from family. My stepdad deserves an extra thank you, because he sometimes stayed late into the evening to get things right. Today I'm married and a dad to a young son, and it has changed more than I expected.

  7. Today

I build websites for small businesses: hair salons, therapists, massage practices, restaurants and anyone else running something small. You don't have to live near me.

Write a note

Tell me briefly what you need and I'll get back to you.

So I can write back to you.
If you'd rather get a text than an email.

What you write is sent to my email and I only use it to reply to you. I remember your IP address for a day at most, to stop spam. The site has no tracking, and its only cookie remembers which language you pick.
